Abstract

Patients admitted to an emergency or intensive care unit may require a medico-legal process during medical treatment to ensure their protection and assert their rights. This article considers the drafting of medical certificates considering the provisions of professional secrecy. Similarly, the procedures for collecting a refusal of care are specified.

The protocol that must be deployed for carrying out a organ procurement from a victim of a criminal offense is recalled, as is the role of the director of the hospital on duty.
