Abstract

Migratory flows and travelers are currently increasing, abrogating the previously known frontiers in tropical diseases. Patients with travel-related sepsis are becoming more and more represented in the intensive care units. However, occidental intensivists’ skills in tropical medicine are known limited. The aim of this literature review is to offer a significant support in diagnosis and management of travel-related illness in the ICU setting.
