Resuscitation is a complex medical discipline that has evolved considerably over the years. In this article, we explore the history of resuscitation nursing, focusing on the Anglo-Saxon pioneers whose discoveries and innovations helped transform the discipline into a specialty in its own right. We will also discuss the current challenges facing the nursing profession in France, and how ICU nurses play a key role in the care of critical care patients. Through an in-depth analysis of the evolution of the profession, this article will highlight the importance of resuscitation nurses in modern healthcare.
