This article presents an in-depth analysis of mortuary hygiene practices in major religious traditions (Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Orthodoxy, Jehovah's Witnesses) and their implications for healthcare professionals in intensive care. It proposes an operational framework for adapting hospital protocols to ritual requirements, while respecting hygiene standards. The objective is to provide caregivers with concrete tools to better understand cultural diversity in postmortem care, taking into account the specific constraints of intensive care units.
