We report a case of acute self-poisoning with baclofen. The ingested supposed dose of baclofen was 3,900 mg. The clinical pattern was that of a deep coma with bilateral fixated mydriasis, disappearance of brainstem reflex with the exception of oculocardiac reflex and spontaneous ventilation. Symptoms persisted for five days and evolved to a complete reversion of impairment and a complete restoration of the patient's state of consciousness after only symptomatic treatment. A potential interaction between baclofen and a chronic treatment with tiapride and valpromide may have participated in less toxicity of baclofen.
