Automated infrared pupillometry is an emerging technique in the field of non-invasive neurological monitoring. It provides objective and quantitative assessment of pupillary light reactivity. This narrative review summarizes recent clinical investigation on the role of quantitative pupillometry for the follow up and prognostic evaluation of patients with acute brain injury.
