Abstract

We report the cases of 2 adult patients who were admitted in the intensive care unit for hyperammonemic coma. Metabolic blood tests revealed inborn urea cycle disorder in one case and a secondary hyperammonemic disorder in the other case. Urea cycle disorder may be diagnosed in the adulthood, and the late presentation does not exclude acute and life-threatening manifestations.
